The Process
Every Gymkhana Fine Foods x Burleigh bowl is handcrafted at Middleport Pottery, our grand Victorian factory that has been our home since 1889. Made using the finest English clays, each bowl passes through the hands of over 30 skilled artisans, from the initial shaping to the intricate decorating and glazing. This meticulous process ensures that every piece reflects the provenance, authenticity, and quality that define Burleigh pottery.

The Pattern
When it came to creating this very special pattern in collaboration with Gymkhana Fine Foods, we knew this was a design that had to carry some bold food, and would be sold alongside Gymkhana’s iconic cooking sauces, so we needed to ensure the pattern told the story of both brands.
‘We've worked in collaboration to weave the opulent Gymkhana style into ceramic, using our hand engraved archive as inspiration. Starting with a peacock motif which resonated with both brands, we adorned the plumage with layered jewels and wove the signature Burleigh patination through the imagery to bring a sense of depth and energy to the finished tableware.’ Alison Howell - Burleigh Designer
